FINALS - STAGE 1:
Players qualified from the A-standing (3), the B-standing (3), the desperado squad (4) and players positioned 25-38 in the general standing (14) will qualify for the final step 1
Players positioned 13-24 in the general standing will qualify for the final step 2
Players positioned 1-12 in the general standing will qualify for the final step 3

24 players will play 4 games starting from scratch
Players positioned 1-12 is qualified for the final step 2
Players positioned 13-24 will be ranked 37-48 according to their position in the final step 1

A big disappointment for defending champion Sami Konsteri from Finland, that nation's national team coach. A couple of 140s were his downfall and he finishes in a lowly 48th position this year. "I'll be back and I'll be in the finals next year," he promised.

Sweden's Team Pergamon member Tony Fransson from Gothenburg (pictured) led this group and takes the desperate dozen into the next round, a further four games with those qualifiers 13-24.

Also on the sidelines after this morning's four games are Swedish national team coach Tomas Leandersson and 2004-2006 European top ranked bowler Paul Moor of England.
