Well, here we are again, happy as can be,
all good folks and jolly good company.
Hmmm! Sounds like a song, but wishful
thinking that all bowling centers around the
globe could be as friendly, clean and
professionally run as the 30-lane Lovvang Bowl
here in sunny Aalborg, northern Denmark.
Yes, it's BAI time once again and this year
this popular event claims something of a record
as the first squad rolled off on Monday night
with a full roster of 60 players and even a
waiting list in case of hopes for broken legs or
other ills came to fruition.
And it was local bowler Jimmy Dan Mortensen
who buttered his parsnips, setting the pace on
this interesting dual lane condition of 44 feet
of oil on the left lane, 34 feet on the right
and fending off a strong challenge from petite
Swedish national team player Nina Flack.
Squad 2, featuring at least a further field
of 50, takes to the lanes Tuesday evening, also
at 19:00.
