SNAPSHOT: GLENN "MR. 900" ALLISON
Glenn Allison, the first bowler to roll a 900 series in sanctioned league
competition (although the feat was denied official recognition by the ABC),
received the Sam Levine Flowers for the Living Award while in Billings, Montana
for the 2002 ABC Tournament and Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. We thought
you'd like to learn more about this special bowler, and special man . . .

Current Home: Anaheim, California.
Marital Status: Not married, but have a wonderful lady, Marsha. We share
17 grandkids.
Children: One daughter, Suzanne, and one son, Mark.
Early Bowling Role Models: Ned Day and Hank Lauman.
I Started Bowling: When my Mom and Dad took me. I was 11, and I
immediately fell in love with the sport. I Decided to Turn Pro: At 17, when I
knew I could beat the world. Turns out you don't know much at 17.
Best Part of My Game: My concentration. Worst Part of My Game: These
days, it's my release. I'm not as consistent as I used to be. Most Memorable
Bowling Moment: You're kidding.
Pet Peeves: Slow bowling.Favorite TV Show: "Married With Children."
If I Hadn't Been a Pro Bowler: I probably would have been a CPA.
Favorite Pig-out Food: Ice cream.
Favorite Vacation Spot: Royal Scot Bowling & Golf. It belongs to my great
friend, Bob Kwiecien.
A Philosophy I Live By: Do unto others...
Other Interests: Swimming, golf and bridge.
Favorite Music: I loved the great dance bands - Stan Kenton, Tommy
Dorsey, and so on.
Favorite City: New Orleans.
The Thing I Least Understand About the Bowling Game Today: Lane
breakdown. Adjusting today is far different than when I was in my prime.
Favorite Subject in School: Math.
Number of Times I Failed My Driver's License Test: Once. I ran a red
light.
What I Do When I'm Bored: Play solitaire, or go practice.
Favorite Movie: "On Golden Pond."
Least Favorite Subject: Politics.
Talent I Wish I Had: The gift of gab.
My Greatest Extravagance: My set of golf clubs.
If I Could Outlaw One Thing at the Bowling Lanes: It'd be bowlers who
wait for two- and three-lane clearance.
Future Goals: To knock down 100,000 pins in the ABC Tournament. That'll
take four more years.
Where I See Myself in 10 Years: Alive, I hope.
